Is gogo dancing the same as a stripper?

as in do people judge em the same way?

i want to get into gogo dancing because my friends do it, but i don't want to be judged for it.Is gogo dancing the same as a stripper?
Go-go dancers (do they still exist?) remain clothed. They don't strip.
