She basically turned into the role model no one wants. I mean her songs are "inspiring", "being yourself", "anti-hate", etc etc which is good, but c'mon they are filled with sexual innuendoes and drug references. I was fine with her earlier songs, but now its getting ridiculous. Her "Born this Way" song is a lousy excuse to validate all of her idiotic and just down right wrong actions.
Look on YouTube, the demographic she reaches out to the most with her vids are girls age 13-17. You really want these girls thinking that sorta thing is ok? Yes, its up to the parents and schools to educate kids but we just keep letting it happen as a society.
Like when Gaga showed up to a Yankees game in nothing but underwear, a bra and a jersey half buttoned overtop of it. Being a Yankees fan I am shocked they let her do that.
Or in an interview my mom and I watched yesterday on tv, she admitted that she smokes A LOT of pot when she is writing her songs. Basically saying to kids its ok to do it because it will "help" you be creative and possibly be famous like me, even though it is illegal.
Now my sister who is graduating high school is a huge artist and musician. She loves the color black (not emo), Tim Burton, and has won several scholarships for some of her photographs that are somewhat gloomy. However she acts/dresses like a normal kid. She think Gaga is an idiot. She loves listening to some of her songs but cant stand to watch her on stage. She'd rather look up to people like Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood or her favorite Hayley Williams.
Just overall not a great role model.
This site has a lot of the latest celebrity gossip on it.

same thing happened to Madonna. people get sick of popstars being true artists, and a lot of people don't like the boundaries to continually be pushed. you have the backlash of pop haters, and the backlash of people who think she's "strange", again, same thing happened to Madonna, our entertainment culture is so fast nowadays it just didnt take her as long as it took Madonna to kind of "fall from grace".
She got away to popular way to fast...though her music is still at the top and she'll easily be awarded again for her number one hits. That and she has the biggest social following out of any celebrity in the entire world.
So, I'd say over exposure is hurting her only it's not really. Can someone please explain what happened to Lady Gaga?
Her trends are now going down, just like before they were going up.
That's typical of the fashion and music industries.
Unless she puts out something soon, her days are numbered.
Her shtick got old. It's always the same and no one is shocked any more. The music by itself was mediocre at best.
