Where or when did any of you ladies did any gogo dancing?

Will you admit to any other kind of dancing?

I am pleading the 5th on this one. (blushing now)Where or when did any of you ladies did any gogo dancing?
I remember as I child I had an Aunt that was a go-go dancer at a club in downtown Dayton. She had a shiny white fringe dress and white go-go boots. Her hair was blonde and with a beehive style. She worn lots of black eyeliner and shaped it like cat eyes, with bright red lips. She was paid to dance all night on a small elevated platform that was near the bar, there were others that danced too. They didn't strip, they just shimmied. 1962
Picture this: Seven girls in the middle of the livingroom

Still wearing their catholic school uniforms(except the baby)

I,m walking up the driveway and I hear the music blasting before I even get in the house. Now one of the rules--there were many- no rock%26amp;roll was allowed to be played on dad's stereo system. So I sneek in the back door and turned the corner into the livingroom and yelled: Dad's Home--with a serious look on my face, like I was scared.

I could only hold a straight face for a few seconds and then the relief that they knew I was kidding. I'm not sure what was funnier--all of them gogo dancing(in those uniforms) or that frozen look of fear on their faces(except the baby), she just kept on dancing.

.Where or when did any of you ladies did any gogo dancing?
Growing up I always wanted an opportunity to arise where I could be called upon to do some public go-go dancing. Those dancing beauties on Laugh-In just seemed to really have it going on. It never happened.:( My best friend and I used to practise up on sleepovers. That's the extent of my go-go dancing history.:D
Go Go dancing was the latest craze when I was married %26amp; raising two little ones. I guess you could say that I was on the Go Go, taking care of them. Whenever I think of Go Go dancing, I think of the song, Going To A Go Go, by Smoky Robinson %26amp; the Miracles. Loved that song. When I was younger, I learned how to do all of the latest dances. There was no bumpin' %26amp; grindin,' as that came much later. I never got into that stuff. Oh, my!!!!Where or when did any of you ladies did any gogo dancing?
I didn't do any Go Go dancing, but your question brought back memories of a variety show charity event where my ex husband worked. All of us who were married to men in administrative positions practiced a routine in secret. We sat with our husbands in different areas of the auditorium; when it was time, we each told them we needed to use the ladies room. You should have seen the look on their faces when we walked out on stage wearing knee-hi boots and singing "These boots were made for walking" At certain points of the routine we would each point directly at our husbands. We were the hit of the show. The audience just howled and our husbands were dumbfounded for wks.
During the go go craze, I was changing diapers and trying to be the

good little housewife and mother. I did have a pair of black form

fitting go go boots along with the mini skirts. But I wore them just to

go out in on a shopping trip, or to go out in on a cold winter night.

I never wore them dancing. I wore flat shoes for that on a dance floor.

The last fast dance I was doing was the 'Twist' and not that often.

Usually it was close dancing, when we went out. Little did I know,

that our dancing days were just about over, when the second baby

came along. I wasn't about to take them with me. And it was harder

to find a sitter for two. So I would wait until mother would take them

over night. And that solved the problem, until the next time.
Only at home. NEVER out in public. I was very shy back then. I actually never wanted the white boots. They got dirty too fast and I was too lazy to keep them clean. :-) I was a tomboy and had better things to do like climbing trees and shooting birds in our plum orchard.
No Go-Go dancing.

And no, I will not admit to the other.

It was a bad attempt by my sisters to help me be less shy.

I was a minor %26amp; should have been allowed to be too shy for that dance.
Got any promo photos from your dancing days?

Go Go dancing was THE thing for a time but in our little town is was a little more than just GO GO and I was too good of a young lad to try and get in.
Blushing!, thats not embarrassment, thats EXCITEMENT!!!

I was never a Go Go dancer but I remember having the little white Go Go boots Nancy Sinatra had.
