Tips for being an exotic dancer?

I live in Los Angeles area and I'm currently a gogo dancer, but planning on becoming an exotic dancer instead because the pay is better. I'm already a great dancer, but I was thinking about taking some pole dancing classes before I go to an audition. Are there any strippers out there who can give me some tips? Whether is be about dance moves, or anything else. Anything can help. I want answers from dancers only, please. For everyone else, please keep your opinions to yourself. 10 points best answer!Tips for being an exotic dancer?
Don't worry. That is the best tip. I was terrified when I started, but I watched other girls to learn dances, and guys LOVE new girls. Even if you suck, you'll bank if you're new. Just giggle a lot.

Long-term tips? Save money. Don't get into drinking and drugs. Don't do extras or stuff like that. And never, ever compromise yourself - stay true to your values.

Side note: I've heard LA isn't the best for dancers, but I'm not 100% sure about that. It's just something I've heard from other girls.

Best of luck!Tips for being an exotic dancer?

Hate to say it, but if you are going to enter the sex entertainment industry you are going to be confronted by obnoxious people like V-Alien (see above) on an hourly basis. Is the extra cash really worth it? And will it really be extra given that the pay will be dependent on the club?

You mention that you are a great dancer... you did not say whether you were a trained one. Strangely enough, the best strippers. porn stars and pole dancers I have come across have had ballet training. In the end, it all comes down to discipline - with it, your career will last longer.

What I would suggest it widening your horizons - pole dancing is a good skill to have. You may wish to consider other circus arts - silks, rings etc. Felix Cane was able to take her pole dancing straight to Cirque de Soliel (she impressed the likes of Jennifer Love Hewitt). Any dance/performance that can translate to to mainstream will work to your advantage.
